IS YOUR STAFF LICENSED?

Absolutely! Our skilled Artists are licensed in the state in which they practice their craft, and they are certified to provide our proprietary treatments.

 

DO I NEED AN APPOINTMENT?

Walk-ins are always welcome. As a walk-in, you can take our next available opening, but you might end up with a wait time depending on the availability of our staff when you arrive.  We recommend making an appointment so you can come at your reserved time for your services.

 

DO I HAVE TO BE PART OF THE GROOMING CLUB TO COME IN?

You are welcome at Hammer & Nails whether you are part of our Grooming Club or not. However, if you receive grooming care on a routine basis, joining the Grooming Club will give you the most bang for your buck.

 

I FORGOT TO CANCEL MY APPOINTMENT. IS THERE A PENALTY?

We ask that if you need to cancel, you do so at least 24 hours before your appointment time to avoid a penalty. Same day cancellations are charged 50% of the service cost; no call/no-shows are 100% of the service.

 

I AM RUNNING BEHIND FOR MY APPOINTMENT, CAN I STILL BE SEEN?

We understand that sometimes your timing is thrown off or maybe even the traffic is worse than expected. For this reason, we have a 10-minute grace period. After 10 minutes, you will be considered a walk-in, and you may have to wait for the next available time slot.

 

ARE WOMEN ALLOWED?

Though we tailor toward men, everyone is welcome. We do not apply any nail polish or artificial nails, and we do not provide most hair coloring or curling services. Check out our services offerings to determine if Hammer & Nails is the place for you.

 

CAN I BRING MY SON WITH ME FOR SERVICES?

Children 12 years of age and older are welcome at Hammer & Nails and can receive services.

 

DOES THE SHOP HAVE HARSH SMELLS LIKE A TYPICAL NAIL SALON?

Nope. Since we do not apply polish or artificial nails or any kind, we do not have the smells that you might expect to experience at a typical nail salon. Just another way we help create an incredible environment for you.

 

I HAVE NEVER HAD A MANICURE OR PEDICURE BEFORE, WHAT IS THE BEST SERVICE FOR ME?

With a combined ten different manicure and pedicure services, we’ve got you covered. If you’ve never had a manicure or pedicure before or if it’s been a while, you likely need a little more TLC, so we recommend Signature or Premium Treatments for your first visit. If you need both a manicure and a pedicure, go for one of our Premium Combo Treatments. After your consultation, your artist will be able to help determine the best treatment for your needs.

I AM WORRIED I MAY HAVE A FUNGAL INFECTION, CAN I STILL RECEIVE A PEDICURE?

Each fungal infection is different, but in most cases, we are still able to give a pedicure. You will go through a thorough consultation with your nail artist before the beginning of your service, so be sure to mention any concerns you have. Depending on your consultation, you may be referred to a podiatrist or medical doctor instead of a pedicure service. We do not diagnose or treat fungal infections, but we can help to prevent them.
